Fall vs. Spring

Fall Lacrosse

Spring Lacrosse

Season
Overview

Fall is the traditional “off-season” for lacrosse.  Fall is the perfect season for young first-timers to develop their skills and see how they enjoy the game.

Spring is the official season for lacrosse.  Plano West is a member of NTYLL (North Texas Youth Lacrosse League) & THSLL (Texas High School Lacrosse League).

Attendance

Players are expected to attend ALL lacrosse games and practices. Practices are as important as games. We believe that all youth lacrosse players need ample playing time during both practices and games to develop and to get the most enjoyment out of the game. Please call or email the head coach at least 24 hours BEFORE practice if you are going to be absent.

Conflicts

We understand that fall Lacrosse conflicts with Football and other UIL activities. Coaches will make every effort to avoid these conflicts and players will not be adversely affected by having to miss practices during the fall.  We encourage players to attend practice whenever possible.

We understand that Lacrosse season in the NTYLL overlaps with PISD Basketball season and UIL events. Coaches will make every effort to avoid these conflicts and players will not be adversely affected by having to miss practices during January/February. Attendance should be the priority to all other activities.
